Growing up in Alaska, Hawaii was always the top destination to find a quick respite from those long months (and even longer days) of winter. One of our family favorites was always the island of Maui. While it has change quite a bit from the sleepy island into a tourist hotspot, it is still an amazing trip either as a couple or with kids.
