About

Welcome to my blog

For over a decade I have lived in San Francisco with my husband, our two kids and our two entitled cats. We have enjoyed the city’s spectacular views, access to biking, camping, hiking and kayaking, excellent wine and and a wonderful community.

I love exploring new places. I’ve lived in Alaska, Los Angeles, New York and Denver. My travels have taken me to Paris, Barcelona, Granada, Budapest, Thailand, New Orleans, and Hawaii and many other beautiful places. I’ll try to share travel tips and recommendations on this blog.

I am passionate about creating unique visual and written content. I really love good grammar, reading, classic movies (as well as some new ones), geography, history, crossword puzzles and political policy (but not the gimmicks). I’m a little nerdy, and I annoy my kids often.

Career and resume

I enjoyed ten+ years of conducting media relations, media training, and creating strategy and content for B2B and B2C tech clients.  Prior to that, I spent six eventful years producing television news. I was lucky enough to cover the 20008 DNC, Michael Jackson’s funeral, Sarah Palin’s nomination as VP, missing hikers, the swine flu, California fires and more. It was a job of a lifetime. I am adept at telling stories, articulating messages and delivering on plans and budgets.

I hold Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the USC, as well as a BA in Communications from the University of Denver. I have previous experience working in both reality television and film.

I spent the last three years home schooling my two sons and am ready to jump back into my career.  I am a firm believer that we must always continue our education and develop new skill sets. To that end, I am working on this blog, while studying social media marketing and web design.

My resume can be found here.
